NICCI SPENCER

Senior Stylist, Founder

Nicci Spencer

Nicci’s career began immediately after finishing high school, “I managed to get an apprenticeship and I’ve never looked back”.

Working in numerous salons, both here and overseas has provided her with a wealth of knowledge, “I decided it was time to use this knowledge and take the leap to own my own salon.”

After a year of searching for the right space and location she opened Luxe in 2016. Staffed with a team of fantastic and talented hairstylists Nicci is well established in an industry which she loves. This enthusiasm is evident in the quality and care she takes with her clients and staff, and her positive energy.

“I’ve always loved hairdressing and after spending so many years in the industry, I am still learning, still creating and still smiling! I’m looking forward to what lies ahead”…

ASH REDSHAW

Junior Stylist

Ash arrived in New Zealand from the United Kingdom in 2012 on a working holiday visa and never left! He was fortunate to secure a hairdressing apprenticeship, the rest is history – he loves New Zealand and sees himself settling here.

Ash recently completed in the Canterbury Hair Comps and took out 4th place in the senior cut event, he now has a competitive streak, and can’t wait to see what the future holds. From colouring to cutting Ash has a passion for long hair, he loves to create, and he’d love to personalise a look for you.

SAM PRESTON

Apprentice

Sam ventured into hairdressing in 2011 with a part-time job while completing her final year of secondary school. After leaving school she completed a one year hairdressing course. Marriage and a new baby required a break from her chosen career and she took a few years off.

Now that she has returned to the industry her passion for hair has been re-ignited, and she has started her apprenticeship. Sam loves the learning and the creative aspects that come with colouring and blow-waving (and she gives a heavenly head massage at the basin too).
